The Carosika Collaborative is a national transdisciplinary group including healthcare professionals and consumers. We work across the maternity sector to improve the care and outcomes for preterm birth across Aotearoa with a specific focus on equity for all whānau. The Carosika Collaborative belongs to all invested in improving preterm birth outcomes in Aotearoa. We work under an over-arching principle ‘to achieve equity in a culturally responsive way’. Activities aim to reduce spontaneous and provider-initiated preterm birth, as well as improve preparation for preterm birth to optimise outcomes. We work through advocacy and engagement, education and promotion, embedded research opportunities and measuring impact.
