About CAST projects

Devoted to creating just and equitable worlds through the arts, CAST delivers community-engaged practice-based research, led by artist academics, that positively impacts lives, addresses problems, and are inspired by our people, place and histories in Aotearoa and the Pacific.

The Centre's arts-based approach tackles issues such as post-disaster responses, disengagement from schooling, decolonisation, discrimination, the stigma surrounding topics such as sexual violence and gambling harm within Asian communities in Aotearoa, and the lack of support available for those affected.

Your support helps us expand our impactful research, empowering more communities to use the arts to overcome challenges, build resilience, and create lasting social change.
